Think about it. There are lots of reasons to exercise – reduced risk of cancer and diabetes, lower cholesterol, greater resistance to bacteria and viruses, improved quality of sleep and longer life for starters.

Science leaves little doubt that exercise is one of the most important things for your body and the benefits of human immersion into a vessel of warm water have been known and understood for centuries. In modern terms, its greater-than-atmospheric pressure stimulates greater cardiac output and a slower pulse, while the warm temperatures dilate blood vessels to boost circulation and encourage the body to release mood-improving hormones. Increased circulation further speeds the flow of nutrients to help heal and regenerate cells and flush away pain-causing chemicals. Under the pressure of hydrotherapy, warm water loosens tight muscles, stimulates the immune system, invigorates the circulation and digestive systems and reduces pain sensitivity. The Way to Wellness

Warm water is especially beneficial for individuals suffering from arthritis or rheumatism because it supports up to 90 percent of body weight, relieving pressure on joints caused by gravity, and freeing limbs to perform exercises that would not be possible on land. At the same time, water's high density provides superior resistance to movement, enhancing the effects of strength-building exercises. We developed our original Wellness Spa with the able assistance of the Arthritis Research Centre of Canada and its Scientific Director, Dr. John Esdaile.

Exercise bands on the Wellness I and II attach easily and provide several levels of resistance. The clip-on oars help you build strength and aerobic capacity, and expand your range of motion. To benefit from what many regard as the best all-around exercise, the Wellness II Swim Spa lets you swim continuously against the full frontal force of six powerful swim jets. Thanks to the extra water depth in both the Wellness I and II, you'll be almost completely immersed while you're exercising or enjoying your hydrotherapy massage. And the ergonomically designed position of the jets means you get maximum therapeutic benefit for your sore arms, legs, back, neck and feet.
